A Few of My Favorite Things: Fall 2013

As yesterday was the first day of fall I saw it fitting to make another favorite things post . I did one just like it two years ago (you can find it here) and since I have so many favorite things about this season I thought I'd do another one.

1.

Anything pumpkin flavored, I wait for fall so that pumpkin will be in season. I have no idea why but I LOVE pumpkin. Pumpkin pie, pumpkin cookies, pumpkin bagels, and my favorite pumpkin ice cream. This is my number one favorite part of fall.

2. 

Rain boots, something about putting on a cute pair of rain boots makes me feel like a kid again. Without fail every single time I put a pair on I have to jump in at least one puddle.

3. 

The chill in the air, okay this one is a bit strange I realize as I am literally always cold, but you know when you go outside and it's just crisp and chilly? For some reason I love that.

4. 

The fashion, with a few changes you can wear your summer clothes all year long, but there are also a few staple items to add to your fall wardrobe.

5. 

Layering, the way it looks and the way it keeps me warm. I usually don't like wearing a lot of clothing but if it's cold enough out I am more than willing.

6. 

The colors, not just of the leaves but the fashion colors as well. My favorite this season is this berry wine color, I am in LOVE with it.

7. 

Crap weather, this one is also a bit odd, but I like when the weather is bad because when this happens everyone stays inside and reads or watches a movie and drinks hot cocoa or coffee and I just really like that quality time.

8. 

Halloween, I know this one was on 2011's list but it stands as my second favorite holiday. It's also my best friends birthday so we always get a double celebration going. I love decorating for Halloween, and picking out a costume and making plans to celebrate with friends.

100 Things That Make Me Happy: Part I

I got this lovely idea for the 100 things that make me happy series from a lovely little blog called Sofia's Journal, and thought that it would be a good idea for two reasons 1) it'll be a reminder of happiness when I'm feeling low and 2) maybe it'll inspire you to make a list of things that make you happy. Oreos and Milk

Is this not the cutest?

Definitely my favorite dessert! I don't really like chocolate, but when I crave it I automatically think of Oreos, it's like instinct. I just had a delicious glass of milk and a single pack of Oreos (the kind that come in 12 packs of 6 cookies), so great!

And now an update into my life:
Since I leave in 3 days, I have all of my stuff packed so it's ready to go. You'd think that it would be weirder to have all of your  stuff in bags and containers, but oddly I hardly notice.

It's weird to think that I'm leaving in three days, but I am beyond excited! I will try to post on Saturday and show you guys my dorm and the school and the car when it's all packed. I am so excited!

The sad thing is that Ashley won't be there when I get there :( I am very sad about that but I will have fun for a few days and then when she gets there, we'll totally party! :)

It's sad that I have to say "see you later" to my hometown, family and friends, but luckily my Twinsie said she'll visit me! And I'll only be gone for two months until winter break, so I think I'll survive! 

Another plus is that since it's my week my mom is making all of my favorite foods for dinner! It is really deliciously awesome!

Friday is going to be the best! I'm hanging out with my Twinsie and I get the best dinner! Then Saturday I get a delicious breakfast and have to suffer through a five hour drive down to Ashland. I may not survive ;)

Anyway it's dinner time and I smell cauliflower! Mmmmmm

Weekend!

My weekend was great!

On Saturday I hung out with Emma all day and we got coffee, McDonald's, went to a few stores and just loitered haha. Then we came back to my house and she hung out until almost midnight. It was great.

On Sunday I hung out with her again. She came over with Joey and she gave my dog a flea bath (what weird/great friend right?), then we went and ate at Buffalo Wild Wings (YUM!) and joked around. We went to Adorn to check prices for tattoos and then we went to Dutch Bros (MY FAVORITE COFFEE SHOP EVER! Thank goodness there's one down the street from SOU) Washington Square, unfortunately it was Sunday and they close at 8, so we basically walked in then walked out (not exactly, but basically). Then we came back to my house and they hung out until 8:30.

That was my weekend.

This week I'm not doing much, on Thursday Roomie and I are going downtown to meet two girls we're going to be carpooling with, because we all live in Portland so it'll be easier. Plus only Roomie is bringing a car. Then on Friday I'm going to get my I.D and hanging out with Emma. Saturday we're going to Saturday Market possibly with Joey. Then she might get a tattoo. I'm glad I'm finally doing fun things!

Only 19 more days until I leave, gotta party it up before I go party too much ;)

P.S I recently got introduced to a rapper (by a guy also going to SOU) and I am OBSESSED! His name is Mac Miller and I really think you should check him out. He cusses and talks about weed a lot, but I really like him. So here's my favorite music video by him!

Tattoos

So I've been thinking a lot lately about the tattoos I want. I don't want to get tattoos that mean nothing because I know that later in life I may not like them anymore, so today I thought about all of the tattoos I want and thought of reasons to get them! So now that I have figured all that out I'm going to share some pictures of tattoos I love, but would never get haha.

I'm actually getting this one soon! :)

Drama, drama, drama!

My life for the past few days has been insane. I have cried more than I have ever cried in my entire life, but I guess that's what I get for thinking life will get easier before I leave.

ANYWAY! On a happy note I only have about 47 more days (not counting the rest of today) until I leave!! I don't actually need to be down to Ashland until the 17th of September, but I'm leaving a day early to go exploring! On the way down from Beaverton to Ashland there are all these sites and fun things to do, so I'm going to indulge myself and take a mini vacation. I'm really excited because I have never been on a trip by myself and I never knew that Oregon was so beautiful until I took the trip down to Ashland at the beginning of July. I am so excited! I was going to add a map, but I'm not that tech savy yet haha.
Speaking of college let me tell you a few things that I'm excited for!
A) New friends
B) Leaving home and living in a beautiful new city
C) College life, nuff said.
D) New experiences and life lessons
E) I am in LOVE with Ashland and SOU!

Can you tell I'm excited? Haha. Ohhhh I almost forgot in one day we find out who our roommates are and what hall we're in! I am literally ecstatic! I got a call from the housing department and they asked if I wanted to room with my friend who's also going, DUH, and so hopefully they room us together. I'll let you know when I find out!

On another exciting note, Final Destination 5 comes out in 13 days, I have seen every one of those movies, and this one will be no different. I love thrillers/horror movies. They don't actually scare me, but they are amazing.
